New Player Application

    Thank you for considering the Humber Valley Old Timers (HVOT) as your recreational hockey league of choice. We are proud to offer a competitive, respectful, and community-focused environment where players can enjoy the game while building friendships and sportsmanship both on and off the ice. Before submitting your application, we strongly encourage you to carefully review the league’s Rules and Regulations, Code of Conduct, and Constitution and By-Laws. These documents outline the expectations, responsibilities, and standards that help maintain the integrity, safety, and positive culture of the league for all members. By familiarising yourself with these policies in advance, you can ensure that HVOT is the right fit for your recreational hockey experience.

    APPLICANT INFORMATION

    Organized Hockey League Player Experience (Most Recent)

    Terms of Participation

    1. Players in the Humber Valley Old Timers must behave in a sportsmanlike manner, with due respect for other players, officials and league executives and abide by the CODE OF CONDUCT rules of the HVOT.

    2. PLAYERS MUST ATTEND 60% (12 games) OF THE REGULAR SEASON GAMES TO MAINTAIN PARTICIPATION IN THE FOLLOWING SEASON AND WILL BE PLACED ON THE SUBSTITUTE PLAYER LIST! (Injuries excluded).

    3. No body contact, no slapshots, and standard old timer rules as modified by HVOT apply.

    4. The Player, for himself, his representatives, heirs, assigns and insurers (collectively, the “Related Persons”) unconditionally and voluntarily hereby Releases, Waives and Discharges HVOT from any and all, actual and/or potential claims for damages, death, personal injury (including property damage), or losses of any kind or nature to him and/or his Related Persons caused by any act, omission, decision or act of negligence on the part of the HVOT which might be associated with or result from his participation in any activity, event or hockey game organized by HVOT.

    5. Players must monitor their own physical condition to ensure playing capability.

    6. Full protective equipment must be worn at all games including CSA approved helmets. Use of full face protection is strongly recommended.

    7. Submitting this new player application does not allow you to participate in the HVOT league.
